Starting from zero IT knowledge
Please tell us about your past experience and why you decided to join Idea Place.
I joined the hotel industry as a new graduate and worked in the hotel industry for five years as a front desk staff member and manager. After that, I decided to change jobs from the hotel industry, and when I was looking at job information, I saw the recruitment requirements for Idea Place, which is open to beginners, so I applied.
During my interview, I learned that the company respected Ms. Suetsugu's brightness, good personality, and desire to take on challenges, so I decided to join the company.
Currently, I am in charge of infrastructure and basis work related to SAP systems. During the project, we hold sessions with the customer to confirm their requirements and actually construct the system. In addition, I am also involved in administrative tasks such as recruiting for the company.
I feel a sense of accomplishment with my friends!
What is your current job and what is it worth doing?
Currently, I am participating in two projects in parallel.
One is working on a project to migrate SAP from ECC to S/4HANA private cloud (PCE). The other is responsible for new deployments to public cloud implementation.
I feel fulfilled when I complete a project.
Most projects take from eight months to a year or more, and over the course of that time, the connections with the customer and team become stronger.
Working together with the customer and the entire team to get the system up and running is the most rewarding and fulfilling moment for me!
We also learn from failure.
Please tell us one episode that left an impression on you.
After all, failures tend to leave an impression.
I accidentally printed the test data from one of our customer's printer because of a mistake in the network setting.
This cause a huge annoyance to the customer, and the entire team has been working together to examine why this happened, how it could have been prevented, and what we lacked in consideration.
I apologized to the customer and they kindly forgave me, but I realized how difficult it is to do a job where a single task can lead to a major failure, and I still remember that I have to be careful not to make the same mistake again.
From now on, the company's business will expand...!
What kind of things would you like to work on at Idea Place in the future?
I would like to contribute to the company's business expansion by focusing on recruitment and training.
In order to increase the number of employees and expand their knowledge, I would like to focus on job applications and educational activities to develop people.
I also want to increase my own attractiveness through qualifications and knowledge so that I can demonstrate the required performance.
